No — waxing removes hair from the root and typically leads to softer, finer regrowth over time. Shaving causes blunt ends that feel thicker; consistent waxing can reduce apparent thickness and slow regrowth.

Some sensitivity is normal, especially on delicate areas. Our estheticians use quick technique, quality wax, skin pre-treatment and calming post-care to reduce pain. Numbing creams may be available on request for extra-sensitive clients.

Exfoliate gently 48 hours prior and avoid sun exposure, retinoids or heavy lotions the day of your appointment. Ensure hair is about quarter-inch long for effective removal and hydrate skin well.

Avoid hot baths, saunas and heavy workouts for 24-48 hours. Apply soothing aloe or recommended post-wax balm, wear loose clothing, and exfoliate gently after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.

Yes, with proper consultation. We assess skin condition and may adjust technique, choose gentler waxes, or perform patch tests. Severe acne, open wounds, or active lesions may require postponing treatment until healed.
