How the technique works
Combination brows pair hair-like strokes with soft shading to create a balanced appearance. The strokes mimic individual brow hairs for a natural texture while the shading fills sparse zones, producing definition without a solid block of color. Clients choose this when they want visible hair detail plus more fullness through thinner patches.
Choosing combination brows involves trade-offs between a very natural, hair-only look and a makeup-style shaded brow. The technique gives control over density and contrast, but the final appearance depends on existing hair, skin type, and desired fullness—factors we discuss during your design consultation for realistic expectations.
Design and customization choices
Shape, arch, and density are planned with client input and facial proportions in mind. We consider your natural brow pattern and areas of sparseness to place strokes where they look most like real hairs, then add shading selectively to smooth transitions and visually thicken the brow without overpowering your features.
Different clients want different outcomes: some prioritize a subtle, hair-by-hair finish while others prefer more visible fullness. Compared with Ombré Powder Brows, which create a soft shaded makeup look, and Nano Brows, which emphasize hair-like strokes, Combination Brows blend both approaches for a middle ground of softness and definition.
Timing, seasons and location
Plan on a full service appointment that allows for careful mapping and work: the service is listed as 210 minutes. Local seasonality matters—our busiest months are Apr, May, Oct, and Nov because clients often schedule before wedding and prom season or ahead of holiday social calendars. That pattern affects availability, so book early in peak months.
